Make your moments of gratitude last by journaling

Gratitude is a powerful force that can transform our lives, brining peace, joy and a deeper connection to ourselves and the world around us. In Reiki, gratitude is more than a practice; it's a guiding principle that shapes our energy and intentions. This post explores how embracing gratitude through Reiki can elevate your spiritual journey and practical ways to incorporate it into your daily life.

The Connection Between Gratitude and Reiki

Reiki is rooted in five principles, the first of which encourages us to embrace gratitude: " Just for today, I will be grateful".

This principle reminds us to pause, appreciate the present moment, and acknowledge the blessing in our lives. Gratitude is not just a thought: it's an energy. When we align with this energy, we raise our vibration and attract more positivity into our lives. Taking time to sit with the knowing of things that has occured in our lives, prolongs the feeling that comes with the experiences.

How Gratitude Enhances Reiki Practice

  1. Gratitude as an Energy Amplifier:

In Reiki, our intentions guide the flow of energy. When we practice gratitude, our energy field expands, allowing Reiki to flow more freely and effectively.

  2. Healing Through Gratitude

Gratitude shifts our focus from what's lacking to what we have promoting emotional healing. By incorporating gratitude into Reiki sessions, we can release blockages caused by negative thought patterns.

  3. Gratitude for the Universal Energy:

Reiki practitioners often begin their sessions by giving thanks to the universal life force energy. This act of gratitude strengthens our connection to the energy source and enhances the healing process.

Practical Ways to Practice Gratitude in Reiki

  1. Begin Your Day with a Gratitude Ritual:

    • Before starting your day, place your hands over your heart, take a deep breath and silently express thanks for three things.

    • Example: " I am grateful for my breath, my body, and the opportunity to help others through Reiki."

  2. Infuse Gratitude Into Your Reiki Sessions :

    • Whether you are practicing self-reiki or are receiving a session from a practitioner, start each session by expressing gratitude for the healing energy, the recipient, and yourself.

    • While performing Reiki silently repeat, " Thank you, thank you, thank you," to enhance the healing flow.

  3. End your Day with a Gratitude Reflection:

    • Close your day with a short meditation or journaling session. Reflect on moments that brought you joy or lessons learned, even in challenges.
